PTA

What is a PTA?

A Parent Teacher Association is a local, self-governing unit. It promotes the objects, policies, and guiding principles of the state branch and the National PTA as it plans its programs and activities to meet the needs of acceptance of the objects and policies of the national PTA and the state PTA. It shares in the conferences, publicity, and special leadership development conferences.

Why Join Adobe Acres PTA?

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an organization where the parents can make a difference. Information and resources are shared. Advocacy and leadership skills are developed, enhanced, and used. A person, speaking out as a PTA leader, will be heard by decision makers more so than will a person from an isolated group. PTA members do not reinvent the wheel. State and National PTA maintain offices that provide publications, research, information, and "how-to" guides that are easily adapted for local use.
