Adobe Student Dress Code
Albuquerque Public Schools expects student dress and grooming to reflect high standards of
personal conduct. Students’ attire ought to promote a positive, safe and healthy atmosphere
within the school.
The Adobe Acres uniform guidelines are as follows:
- Docker style pants (no jeans) that are blue, black, gray, or khaki in color.
- Shorts, skirts, jumpers or skirts that are blue, black, gray, or khaki in color.
- The length of skirts or shorts must be longer than the end of the student’s fingertips.
- Any color solid/plain polo shirt.
Prohibited clothing and accessories include, but are not limited to:
- gang-related attire
- excessively tight or revealing clothes
- short shorts, skirts and dresses
- bare midriff
- low-cut and/or off the shoulder blouses
- spiked jewelry
- chains
- belts with more than two inches excess.
- "Sagging," or the wearing of pants below the waist and/or in a manner that allows
- underwear or bare skin to show, and "bagging," or the wearing of excessively baggy
- pants with low hanging crotches.
- Hair color, length, style, including hair coverings or styles related to an individual’s
- personal, cultural or religious beliefs cannot be considered for disciplinary action.
